Well, we succeeded in surprising Diane last night for her milestone birthday.  More than a few pictures are on Flickr and the AOL gallery.

Big racing weekend coming up at Southpark BMX (Pittsburg) with the Stars and Stripes National.  A lot of our local racers will be attending, Jake Yokum, Steven Polis, John McElroy, Ryan Hullinger , and Doug Widdows to name a few.  We wish you all good luck!

We will be open for practices on Fri (27th) and Wed (2nd) but closed on Friday July 4th for the fireworks presentation at the Fairgrounds.

Hampton Supertrack will host the "Battle at the Bay" on July 5/6th.  Many HBMX locals will be heading there next week.  Then it's back to HBMX racing on July 13.  See you at the track

A few announcements and reminders:

 It looks like Wednesday's weather will be great, hopefully we'll see you at practice.  Remember, we're always looking for additional help/volunteers as well!

 Friday will be the last day to turn in your State Raffle tickets/money for the MD State BMX raffle. Sell, sell, sell!

We're hoping for our delivery of new hay bales this week, please lend a hand if you are able.

We've added a Sno-cone vendor for a few of our upcoming races, bring your hunger and a few extra bucks...

If you've checked out our local schedule, you may have noticed we're not racing for a few weeks.  That's because we try to give you an opportunity to try out racing at the Regional, and National level as well as other local tracks.  The following is a list of upcoming races at nearby tracks:

Sat. June 14- Riverside BMX- Double Race- Bob Warnicke/ local single points

June 21-22 Fairmont WV Regional

Sat June 28- Winchester BMX- Double Race

June 27-29 Southpark BMX (Pittsburg)- Stars and Stripes National

July 4/5/6- Hampton Supertrack, Hampton VA- Regional Weekend 

In other news:

-We need all State Raffle ticket stubs and $ returned on Wed, June 25 or Fri June 27.  Tickets and Money can be turned in at any practice night at HBMX. See Bev or Steve

-We will NOT be holding practice on Friday July 4 due to the local Fireworks show at the Fairgrounds Park. 

Whew...hot enough for you?!

Two big State Qualifiers went in the record books this weekend.  A LOT of GREAT racing in all classes and ability levels.  New riders, old favorites and a great staff gettin' 'er dun at each track!

Well, It goes without saying that tonight's practice has been rained out.  The good news is that the rest of the week and weekend look promising.  We'll see you Friday.

The Cody Lynn update is that he suffered a broken hand after Sunday's accident and will be off for 4-6 weeks  :(  He'll be in attendance at most upcoming races regardless if he's on the bike or not.

We did some upgrades at the track tonight including a few extra safety precautions on the gate.

The weather does not appear to be working in our favor for practice on Wed, but the weekend looks awesome.  We have 2 big State Qualifiers line up for Saturday and Sunday!

PS- We're averaging over 1000 hits a month on the website now, how's that for BMX-posure! 

Well, Mother nature strikes again!  We JUST had the track packed in and fixed from Saturday's rain when the sky opened up and SOAKED the track again!  Thanks to the efforts of several individuals we were able to get the track prepped although it was 3:30pm by the time our first race went off (hence the Better Late Than Never acronym). 

We completed our scheduled double header with a two moto second race.  An epic day to say the least.  SOOOO much happened that it's all just a blur.  I didn't have a chance to take any pics.  Chad Keener will be posting a link this week with pics I'm sure.  Chris Sasser turned 44 and his front wheel turned into a taco, 18 crazy motos and a great new ridership as well as old favorites too!

 A HUGE THANKS to anyone who helped in any way to make it an overall success for the day!

A season high 49 riders for the first race, and 38 for the second. 

Hopefully the weather will cooperate so we can get a practice in this week to catch up with everyone and swap stories before the State Qualifier(s) 

This Saturday June 7 is the first MD State Qualifier at Riverside BMX, and the HBMX Qualifier is on Sunday June 8.  Hope to see you there!
