Groovy Clinic
The Groove Merchants are sponsoring a pro clinic featuring Nigel "Hoppy" Hopkinson that will be held after the
local race on May 3rd. The cost is $10/rider and will be well worth the investment. Instruction on every facet
of racing, gate starts, manuals, cornering, jumping etc. Any riders (boy , girl, young , old) are welcome. Check

Wednesday
We had a very successful first race with 57 riders ranging in age from 4 to 53! Thanks Hartlove and Sons Inc. for the
trophy sponsor! Pics are posted in the RACE PICS link on the photo page.
This weeks rain will wash out Wednesdays
scheduled practice. Todays practice is cancelled. Hopefully the warm weather and better conditions will prevail
for Friday!

Spring?!
Hey, can someone let Mother Nature know that it's supposed to be Spring?! It looks like Wednesday's practice will
be a washout. Let's hope it warms up and dries off for this weekend's opening race! Unless we post otherwise,
assume today's practice is cancelled. We will hold practice on Friday (weather permitting) from 5:30-dark

Track Updates
Thanks to the great group of volunteers and great weather we were able to get things built up and packed down around the
track for the most part. We added a new rythym section in the second straight and redesigned the end of the track as
well. There's always more to do though. Check the RACE PICS link on our photo page for a sneak preview
We will be open for practices this Wed and Fri evenings barring any weather implications. 5:30-Dark. Winchester
BMX will be hosting a clinic with Nigel Hopkinson on Saturday April 11th beginning at 2pm. Cost is $5 and any
NBL member is welcome. Get some riding tips before the season kicks off! In addition, we may be scheduling some
extra work times to get things finished up around the track here in H-town before our April 19 opening. Please lend
a hand as you are able. Looking forward to a great 2009 season, our 10th anniversary! See you at
the track.
