Parade
The Parade is tomorrow. The weather outlook doesn't look as favorable as it has been in the past (rainy?).
The show goes on rain or shine.
We're still planning to meet at Longmeadow Shopping Center around 11am for float
construction. It's relatively simple flatbed trailer with banners, streamers and signs.
Plan for you and/or
your child to wear a racing uniform and bring their clean bike when we get ready for line-up around 5:30pm.
see
the previous posts for additional parade info below.

Halloween week
Practice nights are over for the 2009 season.
The Parade is coming up this SATURDAY. We will need your help
with float preparation. We will meet at Longmeadow Shopping Center at 11 am for construction and working out anylast
minute details. Parents and riders are asked to attend. With everyones help it should go quickly. The float
will depart the shopping center around 5:30pm en route to North Potomac Street. Don't be alarmed if you don't catch
up with us at the shopping canter as the parade doesn't begin until 6pm. Our position in the parade isn't determined
until that day, so we could depart from North Potomac Street anywhere between 6:30-8pm. Parents not riding on the float
can pick up riders at the end of the parade route on First Street near Four States Livestock auction between 8-9:30 depending
on our position in the parade. We will have to play it by ear as there isn't a set schedule. Hopefully the weather
will cooperate and we'll see you there!

Friday
Well, looks like Friday's practice will be a washout. Lots of rainfall and no chance of sun or warm temps.
:/
Anyway, the Hereford Fall Festival should be a go for Sat. Check their website for updates. <click here>
Check back for further details on either the Regional race and/or the Mummers Parade, whichever event you'll attend
on Oct 31st.

George Update
George Leisler ended up being flown to shock trauma on Sun evening. Test were negative for any bleeding on his brain although
he did suffer from a concussion. He doesn't recall too much of the day on Sunday. Hopefully things will get back
to normal for him soon. He is home now and will eventually need surgery on his injured knee. So its not great
news but better than our initial report on Sunday evening.
Looks like a wet week so we'll play fridays practice by ear.
Hopefully
things will clear up for Saturdays Biketober Jam in Hereford MD!

The 2009 season is in the record books
The last race for the season which was sponsored by Cordermans Auto Body had a fairly low turn out with only 9 motos.
Regardless, we had some great racing action as well as great raffle prizes and end of the season awards.
As a note;
as of 9pm on Sunday local racer George Leisler is being kept overnight at Wash. Co. Hospital. Please keep him and his family
in your thoughts and prayers and we'll keep you posted on his condition.
This Saturday is the annual Biketober Jam in
Hareford MD which is being promoted by our own Mike Hartlove and family of Racers Edge. For more info, check out their
website: http://www.racersedgeonline.com/
Hopefully we'll see you all there.
This week will be the last week for open practice sessions on Wed and Fri
evening.
Please contact a representative for additional details about our Mummers Parade float that will be entered
in the annual Mummers parade on Sat Oct 31. We will need your help getting the float assembled/dismantled if you or
your child plans to ride on it. We will meet in the AM at Long Meadow Shopping Center and depart for the parade from
there around 5:30pm.
